DIRECTS GROUP CLASSES IN MUSIC PRODUCTION

Aden Peets, born and raised in Bermuda, has a versatile musical background that blends classical and popular music training with extensive live performance experience. In Bermuda, he began playing with multiple drumlines and the Chewstick Foundation. He then studied jazz drums and classical percussion with Mike Cassells and Greg Runions at St. Lawrence College and Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario.

He later moved to Manchester, England, to study at the University of Salford. There, he performed regularly in the wind band, brass band, contemporary music ensembles, and big bands within the local community. His further studies focused on ethnomusicology and music technology, learning Indian tabla drums and creating a hybrid instrument using computer programming paired with a West African udu clay pot drum.

He has performed with and opened for musicians such as Johnny Marr, Billy Ocean, Michael Kiwanuka, and members of the BBC Philharmonic, among others. He has toured extensively across the UK, Europe, and the United States, and has notable festival performances at Glastonbury and the BBC Big Weekender.
